The Alle-Kiski Valley Is Open For Business

Members of the Westmoreland Economic Development Initiative for Growth (WEDIG PA) are proud to say that our five municipality region and its neighbors in the Alle-Kiski Valley offer many opportunities for home, work and play. Located near Pittsburgh—a thriving metropolitan area named the most livable city in the United States in 2011 by the Economist Intelligence Unit, in 2010 by Forbes Magazine and in 2007 by Places Rated Almanac—our communities share many of that city’s appealing characteristics. To name a few, we can boast a rich history, a strong work ethic and a beautiful and varied geography. In addition to these qualities, the communities in our region have unique assets, both as individual communities and also as a whole, that make many proud to call this place home. WEDIG PA’s members care about seeing our region continue to grow into a destination for those seeking a high quality of life and an innovative, dynamic and sustainable environment with much to offer residents and businesses.
The StrongLand Chamber of Commerce has been a fixture of our community since 1984, read about StrongLand on the WEDIG website.
